I have to tell you guys about my sweet granddaughter’s magical Peter Pan Birthday Party !
My daughter Stephanie started reading “chapter books” to four year old Ellie. When they finished Peter Pan, Ellie was so enamored with Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook and Tick Tock Crock, that they knew her next birthday party would be a Neverland theme!
The invite was this adorable download from Scoot A Pie Etsy Shop & then Steph and Jon put all the party info on the back & had them printed at Tiny Prints…
The party was at our house but my daughter Stephanie and her hubby Jon put everything together…and it was just amazing Peeps! There are soooo many ideas and the BEST thing about this party is that Stephie kept the cost down, let me show you…
Let’s start with the food-
The party was at 3:00, so she had some yummy snacks (no need for a big meal at 3:00-so this saves $!)- all the snacks were done with the Peter Pan book in mind…
First the adorable cake! The plain chocolate cake is from Costco & is only $16.00!
Stephie made the precious bunting and bought the tiny Peter Pan figurines online from ebay…
Added a jar of sprinkles and wow! That is an amazing cake, don’t ‘cha think?
Next, Smee Cheese & Crackers! (you remember Mr. Smee!!!?) She made a little pirate ship out of my wooden bowl! Cute as a button!
***all the food had chalkboard labels***
These are Tiger Lily TeePee Snacks…she got the recipe HERE at Simply Gloria…
Peter Pan Kisses…just tiny kisses melted onto little cookies…
Lost Boy’s Trail Mix…
Fairy Fruit and Veggies (with fairy toothpicks from Marshall’s)
Sea salt Chips & Captain Hook’s (malted) Cannon Balls…
And in addition to the food there was a whole lotta fun going on…
The kids had a swing or two at the Tick-Tock Crock Piñata from HERE…($17.00) they got to fill little paper bags with candy and toys from the crock…
There was a Mermaid Lagoon for fishing complete with Mermaid Tails here and there in the waterfall!
The kids fished in a bucket at the base of the pond less waterfall…The Mermaids came from the Dollar Store!
There was an Indian Camp all set up with the cutest little TeePee!
Steph built the teepee and made the sweet decorations…
(there are loads of teepee tutorials HERE is one I love from Fawn Over Baby)
And Pin the Arrow on the Target…paper arrows & glue dots of course!
She had chalkboard signs up everywhere, this one was Pixie Hollow where to your right you could Fly with the Fairies…
“I taught you to fight and to fly. What more could there be?” (J.M.Barrie-Peter Pan)
And there was a pirate ship!!! Isn’t that the cutest thing!
The kids took turns getting rides around the back yard!
The pattern for making your wagon into a pirate ship is HERE …
Stephie hung up fairy wings all over the back yard…
“Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings…”(J.M.Barrie-Peter Pan)
The swing set had it’s own sign…the whole yard was full of all things fun and nothing at all grown-up…
“If growing up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree, I’ll never grow up…”(J.M.Barrie-PeterPan)
And in Pixie Hollow, besides being able to fly with the fairies you could also make a Glowing Pixie Dust Necklace- because:
“All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust.” (J.M.Barrie-Peter Pan)
Stephie put all the supplies in a basket on the kid’s picnic table…
They were so easy to make…just fill a little plastic vile (found HERE) with glow-in-the-dark glitter (from Michael’s)
Add a few glow-in-the-dark beads from the Dollar Store to the string…
And you have the cutest of Pixie Dust Glow-in-the-Dark Necklaces…who doesn’t need one of those?
There were also Hula Hoops…
And maps of Neverland to take home so everyone could continue their adventures…
“To live will be an awfully big adventure.” (J.M.Barrie-PeterPan)
(Steph just googled printable version of Neverland Map and printed it then burned the edges-she can’t remember exactly where she found the map but if you want to do one…just google!)
There were also Peter Pan Hats & Fairy Wings to take home… (Peter Pan Hat pattern HERE from Sew in Harmony)(Fairy Wings from Dollar Store)
“For to have faith, is to have wings” Peter Pan”(J.M.Barrie-PeterPan)
Oh…and there were also presents for our most precious birthday girl, Ellie…
Looking at this 5 year old love, I realize again how fast time flies when I see how fast our babies grow…
“I suppose it’s like the ticking crocodile, isn’t it? Time is chasing after all of us.”(J.M.Barrie-PeterPan)
This was a very good day that we will remember forever, and…
“Forever is a very long time…” (J.M.Barrie-Peter Pan)
Here’s wishing you a neverland kind of day my friends
xo
