Spring is just around the corner, and that means opening the doors and letting in the fresh air.
I’m dreaming about a Victorian screen door…
To me, these doors are a nod to days gone by when neighbors left their doors open…

And life was simple…
(Vintage Doors)
I think they add a touch of romance to the outside of a house…
(Old House Mag)
…and the inside the house, if you’re lucky enough to have one~

Do you look forward to opening your doors and letting spring-time breeze through your house???
(Thanks bunches for all the sweet prayers, I feel them)

Such a wonderful metaphor- a nod to the past, with a fresh spin.
You are so loved and prayed over… xoxo
Ohhhh, I love screen doors. Of course, my main character has one in the novel I’m writing. To me, they just say, “Welcome to my home.”
What a cute post. I pinned a bunch of them. You’ve been on my heart and I wish you the strength and faith I know you already have! Blessings!!!
I am loving this unseasonably warm weather and I have been opening my french door which leads to my screened in back porch! I love the sound of a screen door clanging shut. 🙂 It makes me think of southern homes. 🙂
Oh, I love these photos, Robin. I have a Victorian screen door on my home office. It allows me to keep my two kitties out, if I need to, or to shut them in the room when visitors come. They like being able to see what’s going on, and I like the feeling of openness.
Oh yes! Whenever I feel that first warm breeze, I’m opening the front door and windows! You are so right on when you say these doors remind you of a time gone by when neighbors left their doors open. Screen doors and front porches are two things that I love about a house. xxoo
I DO have my doors open right now!!!! It is 70 and was 75 earlier!!! IN Pa. In MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love all the doors you showed especially the double one and the pantry one! XO, Pinky
YES!!! so wish i had a screen door at this house! had one on my 1913 house in IL and enjoyed letting in the breeze, the sounds, and the smells of spring.
