Good Morning Robin
I love oilcloth but have never used it. I never thought about putting it in my frig. What a clever idea. Did you just cut it to size and lay down? thats it? because if its that easy I will have to do that also. I love the inside of my frig looking pretty. I adore that oilcloth umbrella! and the grocery bag is great
have a great day Robin, I left a comment on your facebook post, Not sure if I did it right. I am not good with facebook/computer stuff.
deezie
Deezie, that’s all in the world I did!!! And it worked! xoox
Robin, these are all so pretty and practical. Whne my mother was in the nursing home, I got attached to so many of the precious residents there. I made hanging storage bags with compartments that tied onto the side of their wheelchairs or the front of their walkers. I chose oil cloth because it could wiped down to sanitize and the colors and styles were “so happy looking.” The last time I left when mother passed away, it gave me great comfort to know that she taught me to sew and that she also taught me how to help others. It put a smile on my face that part of mama was left behind to bring joy to others!
Lisa, I love the idea of making those hanging storage bags for the wheelchairs. (or walkers) you are such a sweetheart…thank you for sharing your memories and a little about your precious mom xo
I haven’t used oilcloth, but I really like that it is so cheerful. The umbrella is so cute and putting it in the frig is clever! Can’t wait to see what you are up to…….
Diana, I love that oilcloth umbrella too! I wonder if it would really work? xo
oh those are great projects, but my fave is you putting it in your fridge! What a great idea! I do love it and can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve 🙂
Keli, all I did was cut the oilcloth and put it on the shelves and it’s staying in place like a charm! I thought I’d use double sided tape if it gave me any trouble but it’s not necessary! Let me know if you try it ox
These projects look great. I’m going to have to try them. I’ll check out the oil fabric store.
