I finally got around to recovering the chairs for the DIY farm table! (posted HERE)
The chairs came with this antique dining room table, we got them 15 years ago and I painted & distressed them when I started my insane paint habit!
When The Husband finished the farm table we eventually decided to get new chairs for the dining room. (posted HERE)
…and use the old dining room chairs for the farm table! Don’t ya just love to use your furniture in different ways? Pulling a side table (or 6 chairs!) from one room and putting it in a new place, sometimes changes the whole feel of the piece!
That’s how I felt about the chairs when my daughter Stephie suggested we use them around the farm table.
They were almost perfect, the soft colors bringing out the white trestle on the table and bench.Almost perfect. They really needed recovering.
I found some great stencil-look fabric at Hobby Lobby that I knew immediately belonged on those chairs! I love the burlap color background bringing some of the more rustic colors from the den into the kitchen.
To connect the den and the kitchen even more, I recovered the bar stools in the same fabric, but kept the flirty ruffle!(The BEFORE version of the shabby chic chair cushions posted HERE)
I love the combination of the rustic fabric and the soft color of the chairs…
But I especially love that another project is done!
Anybody else working on a project this weekend? If so, do tell!
