A tiny boy is born and we welcome him into the world with snuggles and kisses and whispered promises of family and forever love…
And we bring him home to a little corner or even a whole room that is his very own. My daughter Bethany and SIL Darren, brought home Baby Ford, our first grandson, and I wanted to show you a few photos of his rustic nursery…
Bethany decided to go with a rustic theme using muted colors like the blues, taupes and browns in the curtains…I love a good plaid, don’t you?
Bethany loves to do groupings over dressers…she did a mirror grouping over Hartley’s nursery and here’s what she came up with for Baby Ford…
Another thing Bethany loves to do is collect children’s books so a bookshelf was on the must-have list for the nursery…
Adding a little antler love here and there keeps the rustic theme cohesive…and — antlers are kinda fun. (the lamp is drift wood but still has that twisted wood/ twisted antler look)
Rustic shutters flank the bed…
This gorgeous deer keeps the rustic theme going into Baby’s bathroom…
I think one day soon, Baby Ford will love reading a bedtime story in his nursery…but right now he’s learning to love the snuggles and kisses and whispered promises of forever love…

Wow! What a welcome for a little one. It’s beautiful space and one that anyone could enjoy. I love the driftwood that ties in so nicely. Congratulations!!!
There’s just something about blues and browns that says baby boy. I love the colors and Baby Ford is a lucky boy to be surrounded by so much love! Congratulations!

Oh…I just love the nursery!!! What a wonderful way of welcoming baby in his own unique rustic room!!!
What a beautiful nursery! It’s perfect for a precious boy now and later until he decides how he wants his room decorated. Enjoy that new grandbaby.
You know I love rustic, Robin, so you know how much I like Baby Ford’s room. The colors are so calming and the plaid curtains are perfect. What a wonderful room to welcome a new member of the family in. Congratulations again on your precious grandson.
Love it! So adorable and totally infant masculinity at it’s best!
Congratulations, Robin!!! I love the rustic look of the nursery-and those plaid curtains are adorable!! Your grandson will definitely enjoy his space for years to come!!! Blessings sent for you and yours!
Absolutely ADORE Ford’s nursery. You know how I love anything log cabin/rustic–especially the antlers.
The quote on the wall gave me goose bumps. Maybe as we get older, we realize how powerful the words we speak over our children are–even as babies.
May the Lord bless Ford and his entire family. I’m so grateful he was born.
All my love~~
