We’re in a countdown to fall wedding season.
Right now, brides and mother’s-of-the-bride everywhere are dreaming up all manner of charming and creative reception ideas.
I’ve been mother-of-the-bride 3 times and planning the reception was one of my favorite wedding things to do!
With that in mind, I thought I’d put together a cute rustic table marker.
***These could also be used as welcome back to school teachers gifts or for a fall party!***
A simple bushel basket full of fragrant herbs …
Top it off with a plant marker and really it couldn’t be easier! Got a minute, I’ll show you how!

I painted the whole basket in chalky paint and used the turquoise on the trim.
To get a more chippy look, I sanded over the whole basket, then painted the plant marker gold and stenciled on the number.
The yellow gold is a beautiful transparent gold and the Elegant Finish Metallic gives a more saturated color-it really depends on what you want.
In the end, I decided on the Elegant Finish…
I added burlap as a liner in the basket and planted rosemary and peppermint herbs.
See! I told you this little table marker was super easy!
It smells ever so lovely…
And let’s be honest, if you don’t have a wedding coming up, this little arrangement would add a whole lot of charm to your kitchen table!
Have a charmed day my friends ~ xo
