I’m an early Christmas decorator.
Now don’t be mad, I could tell you I do it because I have blog responsibilities…and that would be true. But it’s also true that I decorated early long before I had a blog. The whole truth is, I decorate early because that’s what Mama did.
You don’t have to be like me to enjoy collecting a few ideas for December! Maybe today’s post will trigger a little inspiration for your upcoming Christmas decorating…
I’ve got a really fun project… this year I did a snowy woodland creature tree in the dining room!
I change my theme just a little every year but since we moved into our old/new house four years ago, woodland creatures have consistently shown up in my decorating! I think it’s the miles and miles of trails that are just around the corner from us.
We see all sorts of animals on those trails and I’m smitten…
This is a sponsored post. Last month I met some new friends at Tree Classics . They asked me if I would review one of their Snap Trees. I picked out The Hyde Park Pine…
Besides the fact that this tree was a breeze to put together because of this snap system…
The stand rolls to make getting the tree in place so easy I couldn’t believe it!
The instructions say: “Simply snap the stand in, tilt it up, connect the treetop, and setup is complete.”
The instructions weren’t kidding…this tree took no time to set up…
It’s a beautiful tree and I was inspired to pull together all of my white woodland friends and add some handmade ornaments like this garland made of different sizes of pom poms…
I kept the DIY part of the decorating easy with simple painted pine cones… feathers and ribbons tucked here and there…
Feathers inside Iridescent ornaments and lace tied to the tips of branches…
And my little Muslin Pouch Ornaments HERE…
Handmade yarn snowball ornaments, snowflakes from the dollar store and snowy limbs from the craft store add to my snowy woodland theme…
This tree was a joy to plan and decorate. As a matter of fact, while I was tucking all these snow white creatures into the branches, I was dreaming up a little story to tell my grandchildren…
Thanks to my friends at Tree Classics, if you’re in the market for a new tree, I highly recommend them!

I just love your new Christmas tree… Snowy Woodland!!! Can you tell me what the Garland is? It looks like cotton balls that have been strung on string or thread.
I always have a white/silver/sparkly tree and so many items on your tree would be great on mine!!!!
Saaron, my garland is different size pom poms on long pieces of thread!!! It was easy, I did it while watching a one hour TV show! xo
What an awesome tree! I love how easy it is to put together. It looks like a real tree with beautiful boughs. Thanks for sharing all the info and your gorgeous tree.
Your style always inspires me.
Xoxo
I was wondering if you might be able to tell me where you bought the beautiful angel wings that are seen in your winter wonderland on the shelves!
Hi Eileen, I got those last year at Home Goods! I love angel wings don’t you? xo
Looks wonderful!! I love all your white decorations! But those trees are too expensive for me.
Chrystal, they’re having a sale right now! That might make them more affordable…but I totally understand my friend xo
Gorgeous tree! Love all of your woodland ornaments and the pom pom garland!
Your tree is gorgeous! I absolutely love woodland creatures, and the white is awesome. I think I want a white tree this year . . .
