Anyone else ready for spring? I’ve been doing a little spring nesting and putting together a spring kitchen island was at the top of my list. If you have an island in your kitchen, you might agree with me that it’s a focal point in the heart of the home!
In looking for inspiration, I thought I’d share a few ideas I came up with.
Layering and scale are important things to consider when putting together a centerpiece of any kind. This tray and vase of flowers is just the right size. They leave room to work on the island and are not so small that the centerpiece looks dwarfed.
Gathering a few of your favorite seasonal items on a tray is a nice way to put together a little spring kitchen island. And adding fresh flowers is always a safe bet. It doesn’t have to be expensive, a simple grocery store bundle of flowers every couple of weeks and a pretty house plant can really make your home feel fresh and spring-ready!
I love the wooden pedestal on this island! It adds both height and character. Also, in addition to fresh flowers, adding a vase of simple picks from Hobby Lobby is an easy and budget friendly addition to your island.
Three vases spread out just right make the scale for this island perfectly balanced. And while I love fresh flowers, you might be able to find some understated faux stems to add to a few vases. Those would last all season and you could use them next year.
This island looks pretty with a raised tray and candlesticks adding height to the mix.
And lastly, this gorgeous dough bowl (full of beautiful spring elements), brings life to this island.
Hope these spring kitchen-island ideas help inspire you!
I’ve come up with a spring idea for my island, I’ll show you just as soon as I get a sunny day to shoot some photos!
