It’s officially March and Easter comes early this year and on top of that…I can’t wait any more! I’m decorating for spring!
I have been weeding out my chatskies ever since last year when my one-word was Simplicity. So I have significantly less seasonal decorations these days which I’m really happy about. The older I get the less patience I have with clutter, even if it’s cute clutter! (The exception of course is books. I will never, ever, ever have too many books)
But I do want my surroundings to reflect the season, so in honor of April showers, I kept my tiny rain boots…
And all those tiny granddaughters will like seeing a few Easter eggs and chicks in the faux terrarium...(Do you see my little succulent wreath? She’s doing great! Posted HERE)
In keeping with my plant-love, I decorated the dining room table with these sweet African Violets…
They get lots of filtered light right here on the table so I think they’ll love their new home…
The foyer table is home for my real live terrarium (I showed you how I made it HERE), so all I added was a bird nest with some eggs…I can’t wait for our back-yard birds to start laying eggs…
I made cute iron on transfer spring pillows for the den (Posted HERE ) and yesterday I showed you the spring mantle (posted HERE), so all that was left in the den was the coffee table, and true to my 2012 one-word…I kept it simple!
How about you…have you started digging out of winter and sprucing up your space for blessed spring???
~Have a weekend full of all-things spring time my friends~
Those precious yellow rainboots. Are they old? Look like they might be antique boots. I LOVE them.
How did you think to put eggs in a terrarium???
I’m praying the Lord shakes up my creativity, big time. New ideas!
Sweet little boots!!! Love your birds & eggs in the blue terrarium…so cute!
Blessings,
Cindy
The boots are precious! The terrarium with the eggs and chicks is a great way to contain little decorations, but make a statement too. How Fun……..
I love your terrarium filled with the chicks and eggs!!! The boots are adorable, we sold them at the place where I used to work. Here is an idea for your violets: they sell African violet pots, made especially for African violets. They are 2 pieces so you can water always from the bottom, they HATE getting their leaves wet. Lowes might have them but any nursery should too. I am digging the Spring/Easter decor out this weekend!!!! Even though it is still CIOLD and we may get SNOW on Monday:(:( I am praying it misses us:):) Have a beautiful weekend, my friend. XO, Pinky
Pinky, I’m going to be on the look out for those African violet pots!!! ox
