Spring is in full swing here…I know because my allergies are giving me fits and there’s a spring wreath on my front door!
Today, I want to tell you about my wreath because, like most things, she has a story…
She started her journey 4 years ago as an easy DIY Moss Wreath at our old house…
The next year, her lush green moss was fading so I added a lilac garland to perk her up a bit. She gave friends and family a happy little lavender welcome from March to June…
Last year, that moss had seen it’s better day so I rewrapped the wreath in some new moss and added faux succulents…the Faux Succulent Wreath was a quick but rather stunning transformation…
And that brings me to this year. This spring I did the easiest of all transformations! I simply added a smaller wreath of branches and pussy willows…
This little wreath is 4 years old and I’ve been able to give her 4 different looks with almost no effort!
If you have a minute, I’ll show you how easy it is to update your wreaths by adding a small pre-made wreath! You could use a Forsythia, cherry blossom or dogwood wreath for spring… or maybe one with sweet little pussy willow branches…
Start with a grapevine wreath wrapped in moss (like mine HERE) – wire your smaller wreath onto the larger one using floral wire…If you want, add some faux succulents-(make a hole in the moss and fill it with hot glue before sticking in the stem of your succulent)
In a jiffy you can have a showy wreath that looks fuller because of the smaller wreath placed on top!
So next time you’re in the mood for a new wreath, don’t be so quick to throw your old one away, instead, keep her story going!

How lovely! And you used the same wreath over and over for such beautiful and different results. Kudos to you! Lisa

I remember, Robin, you making the first wreath at your old house and I loved it so much with the tiny bird nests. And, now, over the course of 4 years, you have transformed it into completely different looking wreaths. And, each one has a beauty all its own. Well done, friend!!! xxoo
Eileen, You remember!!! I can’t bring myself to make a whole new wreath – so this works! xo
Hi Robin…your wreaths are lovely! My question is what is planted in your 2 planters on both sides of your door?
Hi Julie! Thank you and the plant is Boston Ivy!!! xo

The wreath just says “Please come in and visit!”

I have a wreath OBSESSION!!!! So I LOVED this post. I wrote a post only about all my wreaths but unfortunately, we moved to a farmhouse (that is in wind territory) and I don’t have many places to put them now.
Thanks for sharing.
Jillynn
Jillynn …never considered wind! but isn’t it so worth it living in a farmhouse!? ox
