***Congrats to Gretchen! The winner of a Cutting Edge Stencil!***
I’m so excited to show you guys the last little project that I did in the playroom! Just look at those cute trees and birds on the wall!
This was one of the the EASIEST projects I’ve ever done! The trees and birds are stenciled with stencils from Cutting Edge Stencils!
And hang on until the end of this post for a chance to win a stencil with a value up to $50.00 from Cutting Edge Stencils!
I haven’t stenciled in a hundred years and things have changed! These stencils are so amazing and the technique is super easy…
Simply tape the stencil to the wall…
Use latex paint or craft paint and a sponge roller…I used my favorite Behr Ultra Paint with Primer and a few metallic craft paints –
I used two metallic colors for the leaves, letting the paint dry between coats. Don’t the leaves look pretty!?
Pearl white metallic is the subtle color I used for the little birds…they are very nearly hidden in the branches, but, like so many things, if you pause and look closely you can see them…
I was so surprised with this project. It really was easy and fast and turned out exactly like I envisioned!
Before I started my project, I watched a couple of the short Cutting Edge Stencils Videos…this is a good one if you’d like more detail…
I also experimented with the stencil on a couple of pillows! Remember this post…HERE
Cutting Edge Stencils have stencils for just about any project you want to try…
paper projects…
Fabric projects…
Small wall stencils…
Or whole wall stencils!
And you’ve got a chance to win one stencil with a value up to $50.00!
***US Residents Only***I’m soooo sorry …sniff.

I would love to try to stencil! I loved the pillow! 🙂
I just love the tree stencils! I have been wanting to something very similar in my mudroom. Thanks for sharing about how to do this.
I love the Lily Scroll All over !!!
I sooo enjoy your blog. I’m gluten intolerant and always anticipate your recipes. But, your stenciling is very impressive and I would so enjoy giving it a try.
Thanks for the fun giveaway. Your trees look great! I’ve had my eye on one of Cutting Edge’s stencils…so I’d love to win! 🙂
Your tree and bird stencil looks so peaceful. I adore the metalic paints you used and would have never come up with using those paints on my own!
I don’t think I can choose a favorite between the stencil you used and the Freedom! Wall stencil- I love them both!
Thanks for the chance to win! I could see the trees in my entrance!
I love the Anna Damask Stencil
I love the Anna Damask Stencil.
I love how the trees turned. Would love to win. Thank you!
How gorgeous!! Wish I had an available wall. Not sure it would work to stencil over log walls. LOVE the trees. It would be so fun to be a child in this room full of love~
You did a fabulous job! I’ll have to start stenciling again!
What a great job you did, Robin! I love how it turned out. My favorite stencil would have to be the owl on the tree branch. It looks like maybe even I could do that even though I’m not a painter. :0) xxoo
Thanks for sharing your technique with the stencils. I watched the video and hope to try stenciling a wall myself.
Love,
Brenda
The trees are lovely!
I love to stencil but also haven’t done it in a hundred years! I really would love to get the moroccan look on one wall in my dining room. I plan on doing it in the same shade as the wall, but in a gloss paint on flat. Great blog by the way!
Love that stencil!!! It is one of my favorites!!
Love this giveaway. I need to do something like this with a bathroom wall.
I really love the rabat allover stencil and the morrocan dream allover – I would use one of them on an accent wall in our bedroom!
I love the way this turned out!
I love the playroom. I wish they had these stencils when my kids were younger…
Oh the Gabrielle Damask speaks to me… so pretty and I know just the wall!
Love the hand forged – gorgeous!!
I LOVE what you’ve done with this tree stencil!! Currently, I’m drawn to the geometric stencils.
I love the tree and bird stencils. They are so sweet for a child’s room.
I am seeing the resurgence of stenciling again! I love it. I did a lot of stenciling 20 years ago, lol. Love that tree stencil in the playroom. Thanks for hosting this giveaway! I’d love to win and stencil some walls.
It’s beautiful and the perfect finishing touch to an adorable room!!! Love the stencils and would be delighted to win!
I love the Casablanca Allover Stencil!
Thank you for your post. I love Cutting Edge Stencils. I recently did our classroom in the dandelion stencil, and am saving up to purchase their Out of the Box Stencil.
I love so many of the stencils. I have used the casablanca, paisley, and tree peony. Right now, my favorite is the birch tree forest (or the Anna Damask. How can you pick just one favorite??). But, after seeing your trees, I’ve been visualizing what those trees would look like in my home! You did a beautiful job!!
Love all the stenciling these days!
I love the birch trees!
I love the paisley all over. By using a flat paint and then a gloss paint has such a cool effect!!
I love the damask stencils!
I would love to win one of the damask stencils.
I have been wanting to try a stencil on the wall behind my bed. This would give me the push I need!
I haven’t done stenciling for years but I enjoyed doing it. One of the new stencils for a pillow would be awesome. I really like what your did for your playroom!
This is right up there with the talented artists’ murals! Would lobe to incorporate this with my custom window treatment designs!
Beautiful Stenciling in the playroom. Gosh, hard to decide which of the Cutting Edge Stencils I like the most since I like almost all of the Brocade, Damask & Ceiling Medallions. The one titled Freedom is very nice too. Thank-you for posting your great projects and inspiring words. In his grace. Theresa – Western PA
