Have you been following this weeks Welcome Home Summer Tour with Balsam Hill?
Balsam Hill who is known for being our go-to Holiday Shop, sent 24 bloggers, beautiful home goods to incorporate into our summer decor~ Balsam Hill has way more than holiday additions for your home…let me show you what they sent me!
The day Mike and I came home from the hospital, this is what I found on the front steps…
They are Hampton Peonies…the forever kind. And truly, they are stunning…
I decided to go with a shabby chic theme for the den this summer because that’s what felt right with these gorgeous flowers…I use a lot of vintage frames in my decor and I always layer my design elements…you do that too right?
There’s a thrift store painted frame layered (sitting right on top of) with a rustic tray on the coffee table and a round vintage frame on the fireplace, layered with a tin tray and my pallet wood trays. (stacked one on top of the other)
The den is front and center when you come into our house, so I like to add a few things when the seasons change. And those ‘things’ are important, because they set the mood…they actually evoke a feeling.
And this summer, I want my home to point me to happy… happy and serene.
Peonies are a perfect way to say happy and serene don’t you think?
And these guys, although they’re forever flowers…they look so real…
I hope your summer is off to a happy & serene start my friends.

Peonies…my absolute favorite!! Those are gorgeous and I would love to be able to have some all year long.
Larissa, Peonies are my favorite too! Have a wonderful day friend xo
Your den looks beautiful for summer. I’m in love with your Peonies and would never have known that they were faux if you hadn’t told me your secret. They looks so nice on your tray with the lighted candles and books. I also like how you’ve made your fireplace look summery with the decorative screen.
Paula, thank you so much my friend…Have a wonderful week xo
oh my, they do look like they are real and are so pretty. hope mike is doing well…and you too!
Laura, they really do look real…and Mike is doing so much better- thank you for thinking of us my friend ox
Happy and serene is exactly what I’m feeling as I gaze upon your inviting summer chic den Robin. Your layering of pieces is lovely and your new peonies are the prettiest I’ve ever seen!
Therese, thank you sweetie, I was so hoping that happy and serene would show 🙂 Have a wonderful day xo
Stunning Robin! They look so realistic and your pictures are beautiful.
Pamela, thank you my friend xo
First let me say, I love your blog!
But for a blog with so many wonderful DIY projects which let’s face it we do to save money, the Balsam Hill product you featured can be afforded by who? I agree with the other comments on how pretty and life like they are. Well they should be for the price $359.00!!!!! Its great that you get to feature these amazing products and have them in your home, but for most of us those products are only images. Just feel like when you feature something like that, then you go to the site in hopes of maybe purchasing, you find the product to be so expensive that it sort of is a let down. None the less, the ideas and looks are beautiful and I really do enjoy your site!
Sue, I so appreciate your input my friend. I’m truly sorry you were let down- these flowers, (as you know) were sent to me… but if they weren’t, they would be a fantastic splurge for my budget. Saying that, I completely understand your opinion on this post. The main thing I feel, is sad that you experienced anything but happy emotions when visiting me here — sending love my friend xo
I love these they are so pretty and I love how you created such a beautiful vignette showcasing them.
Tammy , you are so sweet…thank you my friend xo
Oh Robin, I love the simplicity and care taken into your Summer decor. It is just perfection. The peonies, the candles, and even the thrifted frame. perfection. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talents.
Meegan, thank you bunches my friend…I know you love thrifted things as much as I do and no one fits them into their decor better than you! ox
Oh my goodness, Robin I thought they were the real deal! They are gorgeous and you have styled them so beautifully on your coffee table – GORGEOUS!!! Thank you so much for putting this tour together — it has been such fun!
Julie, thank you so much sweet friend. I’m completely inspired by your summer tour post…thank you bunches for inspiring us xo
Robin, Those peonies are sooo beautiful with the candles and the whole vignette in your living room. I especially love peeks of puppies in the back ground too. It looks gorgeous and thank you again for being so sweet and including us in this fabulous Home Tour. xo Lisa
Lisa, thank you so much my friend…I’m so honored to have you participate – and w/ 5 pups it’s really easy to get one to photo bomb almost every shot! ox
Just beautiful, Robin! I love what you have against the fireplace in the background also! Thanks so much for putting this fun tour together for us! XO
Christy, thanks so much friend…and I’m so happy to have you and you’re amazing eye for design in the tour xo
Beautiful and I think you just showed me how I can have peonies!! Thanks!
Debbie

Those are stunning…and so is the photography!
Nancy
Nancy , thanks so much my friend xo
I would have never thought they weren’t the real deal! And I bet they keep their petals a lot longer than mine did (the ones out of the flower beds). I always wait all year for them to bloom and they are gone so fast. Great solution to my problem!
Absolutely dreamy! Love your peonies! Perfectly romantic and Shabby Chic!
Those peonies are absolutely gorgeous! I love the vignette you created in your den. So warm and inviting!
Wow – those peonies look so incredibly real!! They are beautiful!! I love your vignette and den Robin – you decorate your home so beautifully and make it so inviting and cozy!!! Happy Summer my friend! Pinned! xo Heather
Would never ever have believed they’re not real! They are absolutely gorgeous! I want some!!!
Praying today is serene in your home.
xo
Your summer decor is beautiful and those peonies are gorgeous! I love peonies but when mine bloom I rarely bring them inside because they are usually COVERED in ants ~ this is the perfect alternative. I still get to have beautiful peonies but no bugs. *hugs*
I have real pink peonies in my yard, and I can’t believe how realistic the ones from Balsam Hill are – I’d never have known they weren’t real! I’m sure it really is a welcome home for Mike, and hope you are both relaxing and unwinding now!
Oh, those flowers! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
Robin, love the layers and the peonies. They do look real! I want to thank you for organizing the Summer Home tour event. So many great products that can be used for other times of the year. It’s wonderful to see the way that all the bloggers are using their Balsam Hill product to make their home more inviting. Thank you for this wonderful way to bring everyone together.
Dagmar…I’m just amazed at the creativity in this group…so much inspiration for your already inspired products! ox
