If there’s one thing I love to do during the holidays is a Christmas craft for kids! 🙂
My daughter Stephanie and I had a little craft day with granddaughter Ellie to make some things to decorate Ellie’s room with this adorable pine cone snow scene!
These were so much fun to make and Elliot loved helping!
It’s pretty self-explanatory …I bet you already have some of these things…
*pinecones
*round wooden balls (for heads)
*pipe cleaners
*fuzzy-balls in 2 sizes
*felt or pre-made tiny hats (Hobby Lobby has bunches of tiny craft supplies)
*unfinished wooden napkin rings (for the tree stands)
*glue gun
*glitter
*small popsicle sticks
*tooth picks
*paint
*glitter
*permanent markers for drawing on eyes and mouth!
*roll out snow!
I’m not going to tell you what to do … I think the photos tell the story! Your kids will like helping with or doing this! And when Stephie set it up, Elliot was so proud!
It’s beginning to look a little bit like Christmas!
I look at the Thanksgiving -Christmas season as one cozy celebration. Sometimes people get grumpy about doing Christmas before Thanksgiving, but my mom did it that way…’nuff said.
When do you start your decorating? And if you have little ones are you planning any craft days with them?
~Sending you love & hugs my friends~
I love the room…so,so…cute…but most of all I love your grand daughter’s name…my daughter is giving us our first grand baby…name…Elliott Faith…Ellie

Oh goodness…Elliot Faith…BEAUTIFUL! Congrats to you on your first grandbaby…keep me posted as you fall head over heels in love with that tiny blessing. You’re going to be amazed! Sending you love and prayers for a safe labor & delivery…xo
I’m holding my breath in nervous anticipation of the birth! My prayers are for both Stephanie, the new baby, and sweet little Elliot as she moves into her role as the big sister. What a fun activity and how sweet and precious those pinecones are! My boys still pull out the clothespin advent craft you showed us how to do a few years back and they want to do it every year. And then I give thanks for your mommy mentoring in all things Robin 🙂
Vicky…honey , it’s the morning after Baby Finley came to us and I’ve just now started to breathe again! At this time of year, I think of your precious boys doing that advent craft…sigh. love u
These are adorable and I know Ellie lovd helping! You are blessed again with a new little life. I am so happy for you and your family, my friend. I also love that you think of it as the “Thanksgiving/Christmas” season!!!! I am DYING to decorate but have our SIL’s birthday dinner next weekend then Thanksgiving so ONCE AGAIN I am waiting til the DAY after Thanksgiving to DECORATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XO, Pinky
Pinky, your autumn decor is so warm and wonderful I don’t blame you for waiting till the day after Thanksgiving before changing it…I can’t wait to see your home all decked out for Christmas…lovelovelove u
I love this craft, Robin! Even my teen daughter, who loves to do crafts, will enjoy this one! My big decorating is my Christmas village and I usually start putting it up the day after Thanksgiving. But, I start listening to Christmas music in October!!! :0) Hugs! Eileen
So cute! I know my daughter is going to love to do these with her little one…hope I get to help!
Elizabeth, isn’t it the best kind of fun to do things like crafting and baking w/ our daughters and their babies??? love you my friend.
So totally precious. I want to escape in your winter wonderland!!
Adorable beyond belief!!! Looks like Ellie’s room is all decked out for the holidays and baby sister is due any minute, according to your Facebook posts. Did y’all set this winter wonderland up on a dresser top? I’m thinking something like this would be terrific fun to do with Trayden and Ansleigh when they are over next Saturday. Then, we can display it on the hutch or piano top. Or, they could even take it home to kick off the decorating over there. Very creative! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Jane, hello friend! We put the wonderland 🙂 on top of Elliot’s bookshelf! I think it would be so cute on a hutch or piano top! love to you~
These are adorable…I am definitely going to do this with my kiddos this year 🙂 Thanks for sharing, [email protected]
PS…if you are interested take a peek at the clothes pin angels by 4 year old helped me create 🙂
