Before I show you all around the inside of the Closet Playhouse (posted HERE) I wanted to show you some individual projects The Husband did in there!
On the Saturday we were finishing up the playhouse, I asked The Husband to do 3 extra projects for the inside, this was one of them. He made this in minutes…
I described what I wanted and he drew it out on paper first and then on wood…
There are only 3 pieces to this doll bed!
I painted it 2 colors (pink and blue) and made a little doll mattress by sewing a flannel baby blanket into “pillow” case and inserting some quilt batting. Then I tied off the batting to keep it in place…
A few scraps of fabric cut into squares and sewn into a tiny quilt front, then backed with soft snugly fabric and Taaaa-Daaaa! We have a baby-doll blanket!
One little corner of the playhouse is the baby-doll bedroom! I’ll show you around the rest of the playhouse soooooon!!!
~Happy Day my friends~
Oh Robin…adore it!! Thank you for sharing! Do you or your husband mind sharing the measurements on the baby doll bed? I have twin grand daughters who would LOVE to have one of these in their playroom. My husband said he could make one for them if you wouldn’t mind sharing the idea. Can not wait to see inside the playhouse! Thank you for sharing once again. Blessings!
Glenis
Glenis, I’ll ask him tonight about the measurements! I should have done that anyway!!! xo
Hi…….I have been looking for a bed to make for my grand-daughter who is getting an AG doll for her birthday this month. Would you mind if I have the measurements? It is so beautiful !!!!!! And the assessories are gorgeous. They make me think of my grandmother.
Rhonda, I think the bed is 16 x 18! Good luck with your bed! ox
Makes me want to be a little girl again. Katie’s got to see this. She loved/loves baby dolls. Jamie was more of a Barbie’s kind of girl.
Absolutely precious, precious, precious!!!!
How sweet!! Family heirlooms for sure. 🙂
? that little quilt! My great aunt made one for me (hmmmmmmm — 45 years ago…) using those same petite rose prints. You can just see the beautiful love for your granddaughters going into each of these projects.
Ohhh, that is too precious! Love is in the details and you and Mike get the details right all the time! Can’t wait to see more ~ xxoo
All of this is just too cute! How I would love for our grand daughter to have such a house and accesories! I do have some time to work on my husband as our grand daughter is only 6 months old..lol
